The South Pasadena Main Event Poker Tournament is back! Go all-in to support after school sports at South Pasadena Middle School.
After a two-year hiatus, poker is returning, presented by SPMS Athletic Booster Club and D.U.D.E.S — Dads Uniting Dads in Education and Service. The event will be on April 9, from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m., at the War Memorial Building. Sign-in starts at 6:30 p.m.
The SPMS Main Event Poker Tournament has been a huge success over the years, and in 2019 raised approximately $19,000. The $100 buy-in includes 2000 chips, dinner, and beverages. For $25, non-poker players can come and eat, drink, socialize and enjoy free Blackjack.
After-school sports at South Pasadena Middle School are funded through Athletic Booster Club memberships and the annual poker tournament. The Athletic Booster club’s mission is to foster school spirit by giving all students an opportunity to interact and support each other. Whether playing or being a fan cheering on their friends, all students can benefit from the Athletic Boosters.
