At this special time of year when we are reminded of the many ways we can help others, the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena (WCSP) will recognize some keynote local organizations with monetary contributions and special donations at the annual Spirit of Giving Luncheon on Wednesday, December 1st.
The club’s philanthropy committee will present checks to a number of community groups that have made a difference for many people in need, including the St. James Food Locker, Holy Family Giving Bank, Urban Harvester, and Friends of Foster Children.
Special guests from various organizations will also be present to accept donations of hand-assembled items prepared by club members throughout the year, including representatives from the Huntington Hospital Breast Cancer Center, LA County Hospital – CARES, and the West LA Veteran Center.
Following the presentations, a delicious lunch will be served and a string quartet from the South Pasadena High School Orchestra will present a program of traditional and classical Christmas music.
This Club event will definitely put you in the holiday spirit! The meeting begins at 10:30 AM, donation presentations will start at 11:00 AM, followed by the luncheon and the music program at noon. The cost of the event is $15 per person and it is open to the public. The South Pasadena Woman’s Club is located at 1424 Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena.
