During swim competitions this spring, two SPHS students broke school records in the 50m Freestyle and 500m Freestyle events. Congratulations to senior Chloe Auyeung and sophomore Samantha Wong who smashed the records, swam personal bests, and qualified for CIF!
Auyeung’s time of 24.47 in the 50m Freestyle bested Catherine Kwan’s 2007 record of 25.45. Wong’s time of 5:00.83 in the 500m Freestyle replaced Sabrina Zavala’s 2013 record of 5:01.75. In the time since Wong broke the 10-year-old record, she has broken her own record with a new time of 5:00:30.
