The votes are in as South Pasadena High’s winter sports teams were honored with all-Rio Hondo League selections in boys and girls water polo, boys and girls basketball and girls water polo.
South Pasadena’s boys’ basketball team, which reached the second round of the CIF playoffs finished the season with an 18-12 overall record, 4-6 against league competition. The Tigers’ basketball team, which was stopped in the first round of CIF play, wound up with a 14-13 overall record, 6-2 in Rio Hondo League play.
In soccer, the SPHS girls’ soccer team was winless in the Rio Hondo League, 5-13-3 overall. The Tigers were 0-8 against league competition. On the boys’ soccer side, South Pasadena finished with an 8-8 record, 5-4-1 in league.
All League teams are selected by Rio Hondo League coaches in each sport.
