A top performance was turned in Saturday by South Pasadena High School sophomore TH Wei at the CIF Masters Track and Field Meet at El Camino College.
It took Wei only two jumps to qualify for the state championship in the triple jump. He broke the school record set in 2011 by Mayan Schexnayder.

“To put in perspective, South Pasadena’s previous school record before Mayan was over 60 years old, 44’04” from 1946,” said South Pasadena High Athletic Director Greg Luna.
TH will represent the Tigers at the State championship Friday prelims on June 1 in Clovis. CIF Championship finals will be on Saturday.
