Here are a few highlights from the PTSA, Community, and ASB reports at the 1/25 General Association Meeting:

Graduating seniors are encouraged to make sure they are members of the PTSA for 2020-2021 and thus eligible for three different scholarship opportunities worth $500 or $750 from PTSA. Details are posted on the PTSA website under Scholarships.

Our Wish Night team is working on a second round of grants for teachers. Thank you for your generous donations!

The Nominating Committee was formed to find candidates for the 2021-22 PTSA Executive Board. We are looking for an auditor. If interested, please email Sheila Tully at stully345@gmail.com.

PTSA formed a new Senior Committee in conjunction with the Tiger Boosters. They are hoping to put on some virtual and in person activities for our Seniors outside of school this spring. Want to help out? Sign up on the Google Form.

Seniors should save the date for Grad Night on the evening of June 3rd. More information here.

The PTSA offers $3,000 in mini-grants to our SPHS student clubs. The mini-grants committee has granted $2,000 to 10 clubs already, with another $1,000 to give out soon. Today, February 1st, is the deadline for round 2 of grant submissions for clubs. Clubs can apply for these grants here.

Athletic conditioning for season 1 and 2 sports is starting back in February at SPHS. For more information, click here.

Boosters thanked everyone who participated in the Virtual Tiger Run! This is their 50th anniversary, so they are doing 50 for 50 drive. Check out the Boosters website.

SPEF is hosting a second Virtual Trivia Night on 2/26. The virtual wine tasting last week was a success, and a second date is being discussed. Sign up here for Trivia Night #2

SPHS Challenge Success website has launched. Make sure to check out the student produced “I Wish” Video on the home page as well as other helpful videos under the parent section. You can visit it here.

Students can get math tutoring help during 3, 4 & 5th period from Mr. Furchtgott. Talk to your math teacher or counselor for details.
