South Pasadena High’s boys’ soccer team continues to roll as the Tigers came up with a 2-1 over Crean Lutheran on Friday in CIF-Southern Section play.
It marked the second straight road win for South Pasadena, now preparing to play a second round game next Wednesday. Their opponent is yet to be determined.
It took three overtimes on Wednesday for the Tigers to turn away Valley Christian 2-1 in a CIF wildcard game.
With Wednesday’s big win over Crean Luteran, South Pasadena High improved to 13-5-4 overall on the season. The Tigers entered the playoffs as the third place finisher in the Rio Hondo League with a 4-4-1 record behind frontrunner Monrovia (9-1-0) and La Cañada (7-1-2).
