SPHS Boys Basketball to Play Monrovia

The Tigers, 10-12 overall and 2-3 in league, go on the road Friday night after playing Blair

South Pasadena High’s boys’ basketball team dropped to 2-3 in Rio Hondo League Wednesday night following a 65-61 loss to Blair on the road.

Overall, going into tonight’s game at Monrovia, the Tigers are 10-12 on the season.

South Pasadena opened the league campaign with a 68-65 loss to San Marino, before winning two straight, beating Monrovia 57-53 and Temple City 63-55, losing to La Canada 82-55 and the four-point loss to Blair on Jan. 24 in Pasadena.

Following their travel date to Monrovia, the Tigers are home for their final four regular season games, facing rival San Marino on Jan. 31, La Canada Feb. 2, Temple City Feb. 6 and Blair Feb. 8. All games start at 7 p.m. at the South Pasadena High gym.
