The South Pasadena Public Library is currently recruiting for the Fall 2022 Teen Advisory Board (TAB). TAB is a small group of teens, grades 8-12, dedicated to helping and improving the Library. TAB members will be required to attend all meetings as well as volunteer at least one afternoon a month at the Library. The way TAB members contribute at the library include assisting with light projects such as craft activity preparation, suggesting and developing programs for the South Pasadena teens, and helping staff at Library events. The Fall 2022 TAB will meet in-person at the Library on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. starting in August all the way through November. TAB members earn community service hours for each meeting they attend and for time spent assisting with programs, and for helping out the library.
Teens must complete a Library Teen Volunteer web form to apply. New volunteers to the library must also complete a City Volunteer Application, which must be signed by a parent or guardian. The City Volunteer Application may be dropped off or emailed to TAB Librarian Anne Armacost at aarmacost@southpasadenaca.gov. The Library is open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
