ADULT MALE ARRESTED FOR RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY

South Pasadena Police Department News Release:

On Saturday, September 5, 2020, at about 2:22 A.M., a concerned resident reported seeing two men removing bicycles from the apartment complex located at 711 Orange Grove Avenue.  South Pasadena Police Officers responded to the call and found a vehicle in the nearby Arco Gas Station as it started to drive away.

An investigative stop revealed three adult subjects inside the car; the male driver, an additional male, and a female passenger.  Inside the car, items believed to be stolen property were discovered.  One of the male passengers was identified by the witness and discovered to be in possession of a stolen California Driver License and a matching Visa Card which were reported to South Pasadena Police as being taken from an unlocked motor vehicle on September 3, 2020.  This male was cited and released for receiving stolen property; the female was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia; and the driver was cited and released for driving on a suspended license. The vehicle they were driving was impounded.

Further investigation into this property crime is still ongoing as numerous items of property have not yet been reported missing.
