For the first time in its history South Pasadena High school hosted the prestigious Pasadena games track event, one of the elite track meets for high school track athletes.More than 40 schools from all over Southern California sent their best athletes to compete in this meet, which regularly produces some of the best marks in the nation. Star of the meet was Micah Fulton of Pasadena Muir, who generated some of the top times this year in the state. Fulton ended up with 4 gold medals. Many members of the South Pasadena high school track team also participated in the meet, either as entrants in events or as volunteers to help run the meet. Tiger track coach CB Richards was the meet director and coordinated a well run track meet that produced some of the best track marks in California this year and drew a large crowd of fans. Friday’s meet was the 73rd Pasadena Games, which has a history of producing some of the best athletes in the history of the sport, many going on to represent the country in the Olympics.
