As the academic year concludes, a resilient senior class steps into a bright future. Our community prepares to honor the dedication and achievements of these hometown students.
The air around Meridian Avenue feels different as graduation approaches. It is thick with anticipation and the quiet buzz of local families preparing for a major milestone. Parents are busy pressing crisp shirts and taking front lawn photos ahead of the big event.
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the South Pasadena High School Class of 2026 will officially graduate. The commencement takes place at 5:00 PM at the revered Ray Solari Stadium. The entire city will pause to celebrate the achievements of these young adults as they conclude their local educational journey.
A Tradition of Civic Service and Excellence
Getting to this milestone required immense dedication from the student body. South Pasadena High School demands a rigorous 220 credits for graduation.
This includes a vital 45 hours of community service, cementing each student’s tie to our local civic fabric.
The California Department of Education consistently categorizes our graduation rate as “Very High.” Historically, the South Pasadena High School graduation rate averages an impressive 95.3 percent.
The Associated Student Body (ASB) and dedicated faculty have structured an evening focused on community and safety.

Tickets and Stadium Seating
Families should plan to arrive early to the football field. Seating is strictly on a first come, first served basis.
Attendees must enter the stadium together if they wish to sit as a group. Seats cannot be saved for latecomers.
Every single guest must present their own ticket to enter the gates. This includes small children, as lap seating is not permitted by stadium administration.
Preserving the Turf
To preserve the athletic turf and ensure a clear view for all parents, specific rules are in place. Bottled water is the only food or drink permitted inside the gates.
Attendees are kindly asked to leave noisemakers, balloons, and umbrellas at home.
Graduates have strict dress code requirements beneath their traditional black and white caps and gowns. Only solid colors are permitted for student attire. Pointy heels and stilettos are strictly banned to protect the stadium turf.
Celebrations Beyond the Bleaches
The celebrations will continue long after the administration hands out the final diplomas. All textbook obligations were settled prior to cap and gown distribution.
The highly anticipated Grad Nite is set for Sunday, June 7, 2026. Students will travel to Disney’s California Adventure to celebrate from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
If you are arriving in person on June 3, please respect neighborhood parking restrictions near the 1401 Fremont Avenue campus. Arrive well before the 4:30 PM gate opening to secure your spot.
