Public Comment Guidelines
The City Council welcomes public input, and residents can share their thoughts on agenda items and general topics under the City Council’s jurisdiction.
- Time Limit: Each speaker is allotted three minutes. However, the Mayor and City Council may adjust the time limit if needed.
- Written Comments: Written comments will not be read aloud but will be part of the official meeting record. These will be uploaded to the City website under Additional Documents for public viewing.
- Submission Requirements:

- Must be submitted by 12:00 PM on the meeting day. Late submissions will be distributed the next business day.
- Council Limitations: Per State Law (Government Code Section 54954.2), the City Council cannot discuss or take action on issues not listed on the agenda. However, Council members or staff may provide brief responses or follow-up actions.
