Back at the beginning of 2020, YST was working on putting together a production of Seussical Jr., one of YST’s favorite musicals. The kids got to perform one show, but the lockdown stopped the show run in its tracks. Thankfully, a lot of those kids were able to get back together recently, along with some new faces, to put the show back together! Seussical Jr., directed by Mirai Booth-Ong, opens May 20th and runs for two weekends only. You don’t want to miss this fun Dr. Seuss story about Horton and the Whos!

Soon after Seussical Jr., The Actor’s Nightmare, a play performed by YST’s beloved Jack Bennett’s adult acting class, will run from June 3rd to June 5th. Director Tamarah Ashton says, “The Actor’s Nightmare follows one nervy accountant’s fateful evening when he is thrust unprepared into a play that starts out as Private Lives and ends as A Man For All Seasons. Playwright Christopher Durang takes the cast from pique to panic as he explores the insecurities of performing life. This one act taps into the universal nightmare that in life we sometimes all find ourselves in – inexplicable situations where everyone but us knows the lines.”

Looking for a summer camp for your kids? Look no further! YST has THREE awesome summer camps lined up. The first, Annie Jr. camp, will be June 6th-19th. The full Annie Warbucks musical (a sequel to the musical Annie) will be June 20th-July 10th (SOLD OUT). Last but not least, And Then There Was One – A Spoof, a comedy murder mystery drama camp, will take place July 18th-31st. Each camp concludes with a full production!
