South Pasadenans favorite event of the year is on its way! Mark your calendars for the city-wide music and art extravaganza coming to you on Saturday, April 27 from 3:00pm – 10:00pm. And to help keep the music FREE, plan on attending the Eclectic Preview Party, the annual fundraiser for the festival, scheduled for Sunday, March 24.
The Eclectic is organized and produced by the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with DeepMix Entertainment and the City of South Pasadena. The Eclectic has become one of the most anticipated events of the year and has been going strong since 2008, having only been cancelled the two years of the pandemic. Started by Scott Feldman and Brad Colerick in a parking lot with a couple of local bands and a few dozen attendees, the Eclectic has grown into a signature event for the city, featuring dozens of diverse, local and regional musical acts, one-of-a-kind artisans and makers, interactive activities, open galleries, beer and wine gardens, and family-friendly fun.
This year’s event on Saturday, April 27 will feature musicians on stages and intimate venues all across town. Mission Street will be open to allow for traffic. The Artisans’ Alley, a curated outdoor marketplace, will feature unique, handmade, and vintage items, bringing together makers of handcrafted jewelry, clothing, accessories, art, home goods, and specialty items. Also in this area will be interactive art activities, food trucks, photo ops, music, and more!
The Eclectic is produced by the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of South Pasadena and our sponsors, and is supported by Eclectic Friends of the Arts, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization and is a collaborative effort by local organizations including Friends of the South Pasadena Library, SPARC – South Pasadena Arts Council. Donations to The Eclectic Friends of the Arts in South Pasadena, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, will help keep the festival free for all attendees.
