Rose Parade 2023 | South Pasadena Float Donations Sought

PHOTO: Bill Glazier | The South Pasadenan | With the 2021 Rose Parade canceled on account of COVID-19, South Pasadena Tournament of Roses President Brant Dunlap is pleased the Rose Parade was back and the city earned another high honor.

Supporters of South Pasadena’s float in the annual Rose Parade are being asked to make a donation for a yard sign that will be placed in front of homes and businesses.

The sign reads: “Proud Supporter of OUR float. Thank You!”

The South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee (SPTOR) is asking for contributions of $75 for each sign that will be installed by March 28 and removed after April 8.

“This is one of the ways people can help support our continuing effort to put award-winning floats on the parade route,” said Brant Dunlap, president of the SPTOR committee. “We are all volunteers working year-round to construct and decorate a float in time for the parade and fully appreciate the support from so many. We hope you’ll help us further with a donation of a sign.”

South Pasadena’s 2022 entry – “Sky’s the Limit” – earned the city the prestigious Founder Award in the last Rose Parade.

To order a sign, go to SPTOR.org or contact Wende Lee, a SPTOR board member, at (323) 269-4218 or wendelee323@gmail.com

Donations can also be made at SPTOR, PO Box 3662, South Pasadena, CA 91031.
