In keeping with recommendations in an operations study developed two years ago, minor physical changes are currently underway at the South Pasadena Public Library.
The library’s circulation and adult reference services will be co-located at a new single desk and the old desks will be removed.
In addition, new flooring will be installed in the entry area and computer workstation furniture will double the number of public Internet computers.
South Pasadena Library Director Steve Fjeldsted said noise and disruption will be minimal, and the facility will operate during normal hours throughout the project.
Electrical work and furniture installation took place the week of February 4. Most public Internet computers were out-of-service from Tuesday, February 5 through Thursday, February 7.
