Racially Charged Flyers at SPHS | Search for Suspect Continues

South Pasadena Police are actively investigating criminal activity that took place at South Pasadena High School on October 30, 2018. At 10:30 p.m., a person wearing dark clothing and a white mask entered the campus of the South Pasadena High School by climbing over a locked gate. The suspect placed stickers, at random locations throughout the campus. Printed on the stickers were the words, “It’s okay to be white.”

The suspect was captured posting the stickers by video surveillance. There was no other physical damage done to school property. It appears the person acted alone, and there were no prior events to this incident.

The South Pasadena Police Department and South Pasadena Unified School District take the safety of students very seriously and are actively investigating this incident.
