The City of South Pasadena is inviting community members to help shape the future of local parks, open spaces, and recreational amenities through its Parks Comprehensive Plan. Residents are encouraged to participate in a public online survey, now open through mid-August, that will directly inform long-term planning decisions.

Survey to Guide Future Park Improvements

The comprehensive survey is a vital step in developing a roadmap for future park upgrades, facility enhancements, trail development, and resource allocation. Community input will play a critical role in identifying current needs and setting priorities for the next decade.

The questionnaire seeks feedback on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Frequency and types of park usage
  • Facility and amenity needs
  • Trail and open space preferences
  • Accessibility and inclusivity
  • Environmental sustainability

Have Your Voice Heard

City officials emphasize that the survey offers a unique opportunity for all residents—whether daily parkgoers or occasional visitors—to have a direct voice in shaping the city’s outdoor spaces.

“This is a chance for everyone in South Pasadena to share what matters most when it comes to our parks,” said a city spokesperson. “Your input will help guide the investments we make for years to come.”

Roadmap for the Future

The Parks Comprehensive Plan aims to create a unified vision for recreation, conservation, and community health. The plan will serve as a long-term strategy to ensure South Pasadena’s parks continue to meet the evolving needs of its growing and diverse population.

How to Participate

Residents can learn more about the project and complete the survey by visiting www.planspparks.com. Feedback will be collected through mid-August, and additional public engagement opportunities may follow later this year.
