It was one-sided, a blow out, in fact, but in the end both teams hugged and congratulated each other and will rack it up as another high school experience.

While it may not have appeared to be a positive one for the juniors following their 60-0 loss to the seniors in Friday’s traditional power puff game at South Pasadena High, both teams came away with a victory as good sportsmanship was shown on both sides as the scoreboard clock ticked down to zero.

They’re all Tigers, so there wasn’t a loser in the bunch.

“There were no injuries, it was a penalty free game, except for an inadvertent trip from one girl, and great fun was had while both sides were in good spirits,” said South Pasadena High Athletic Director Greg Luna, recapping the contest at Ray Solari Stadium.

While most might want to call it powder puff football, South Pasadena High likes to put a whole new spin on the contest, rebranding it as power puff instead. Oh, and there was plenty of power displayed by the senior squad in this one.
