Update: Final two weeks to see “The Overlook”. Pasadena Showcase House is a big supporter of SPEF, SPHS Dance and many other local organizations.

This year’s Showcase House exudes a cool, contemporary vibe. Affectionately known as “The Overlook,” this year’s House is a majestic 1915 Mediterranean masterpiece designed by the distinguished architect Reginald Davis Johnson.

At the hands of 23 interior and landscape designers, the property is an eclectic blend of unique living spaces with a modern, edgy air. Beautiful verandas and gardens make it perfectly primed for California living. Extend your visit by dining at The Overlook Restaurant or relaxing with handcrafted drinks at The Citrus Grove, and visiting The Shops at Showcase.

Visits to the Showcase helps raise funds for the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (PSHA), an all-volunteer non-profit that funds and produces music programs that enrich the lives of countless young people and has brought a lasting legacy to the community.

“We encourage everyone to attend this year’s Showcase House,” explained Marilyn Anderson, PSHA’s 2017-2018 president. “That’s because our organization has begun the process of reevaluating options to our annual Showcase House. Since the Showcase House started in 1964, it has become one of the oldest, largest and most successful house and garden tours in the country. But our world has changed enormously in the past 54 years, and it is imperative that our group change along with it.”

Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts turns 70 this year and changes are in store for next year. “While the organization’s future and an annual fundraiser are assured, in 2019 we will look at different than the current Pasadena Showcase House of Design format,” said Anderson. “We join many non-profits in examining the most efficient way to support our programs. You could say the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts is doing some ‘remodeling’ of its own.”
