The community is coming together for a special night of music and giving. The Out of the Ashes benefit concert will take place on June 18, 2025, at Sagebrush Cantina, located at 23527 Calabasas Rd., Calabasas. This event aims to raise vital funds for music programs in the Pasadena school system affected by the devastating Eaton fire.
A Night of Jazz and Community Support
The benefit concert will feature performances from local talents and educators, including Doc Step and the Expendables, Bob Hackett and the Phoenyx Big Band, The Chad Bloom Jazz Combo, and the Trailblazers Jazz Ensemble, a group formed by Agoura High School students.
Brandon Gertz, an 11th-grade student at Agoura High School and founder of the Trailblazers Jazz Ensemble, is helping spearhead the event. “This is more than a concert—it’s a way for the community to rally behind schools and students impacted by the LA fires,” Gertz shared.
Adding to the event’s star power, performers will also include Dan Stepenosky, Superintendent of LVUSD, alongside other notable local musicians and educators.
