South Pasadena Mayor Dr. Marina Khubesrian will share her vision for the city at 7 p.m. inside the local Chamber of Commerce

Each New Year brings new opportunities to set goals and look forward.

As 2019 begins, the South Pasadena Chamber invites community members to a “Moment with the Mayor” on Wednesday evening, January 30, at the Chamber office, 1121 Mission Street.

During the 7 p.m. event, Dr. Marina Khubesrian, who was sworn-in as mayor in December, will share her ideas and vision for South Pasadena as she begins her 1-year term gets underway.

A vibrant, robust downtown, with a strong customer base, is important to the city’s newest mayor. Khubesrian is committed to open dialogue and team building with the City Council, staff, and community in addressing all issues including regulations on massage establishments, downtown development project, and economic development.

She is always seeking ways to integrate land use, transportation, and municipal policy with achieving greater public safety, health and wellness. She is focused on preserving the city’s history and cultural heritage while updating and maintaining the City’s existing infrastructure and facilities, enhancing quality of life, promoting an active lifestyle, and robust community engagement.

Khubesrian, M.D. (Dr. Marina) was elected to the City Council in November 2011. She first served as mayor for the 2013-2014 term.

The mayor welcomes ideas and thoughts to help South Pasadena thrive.
