This spring, the critically acclaimed Little Women Ballet returns to Heritage Square Museum for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. Running from May 23 to 25, 2025, this original ballet adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s cherished novel takes audiences on a moving journey through sisterhood, love, loss, and artistic awakening — all set within the historic Victorian manors of Heritage Square.

Dance, History, and Heartfelt Storytelling Collide
Following the tragic loss of props and costumes in the Eaton Fire, the company is thrilled to bring its site-specific production back to life with the support of the community. These five unique performances will blend storytelling and ballet within the setting of Heritage Square’s historic mansions, immersing guests in the world of Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy.

Each performance includes a walking tour through the museum’s scenic grounds, spring-themed desserts and beverages, and interactive segments such as Victorian folk dancing with the cast. Audiences will follow a ribbon-coded route based on one of the four sisters, enhancing the personalization of the immersive journey.
A Ballet About Women, For Everyone
Little Women Ballet is dedicated to showcasing stories about women through dance. Created by 26-year-old choreographer Emma Andres, the performance highlights women’s roles in 19th-century America while capturing timeless lessons about family, growth, and resilience. Andres, a UC Irvine graduate and acclaimed dance artist, brings both passion and innovation to this heartfelt production.

Choreography by Andres and original music by Daniel Robbins, paired with pieces by Brahms and Debussy, create a powerful emotional backdrop. The cast features over 20 ballet dancers aged 10 to 75 in period costumes, offering a dynamic range of talent and storytelling depth.
