Marengo Parent Party Co-Chair, Mariela King, tells us this year’s Marengo Parent Party, Hot Havana Nights, was a resounding success! Over 240 parents attended the party held at the home of Sean and Lori Hunter in South Pasadena where revelers participated in a silent auction, a festive photo booth, danced the night away and ate delicious food and drink provided by Huntington Catering.

This the the 5th year of this popular PTA fundraiser which is meant to cultivate relationships among parents of Marengo Elementary and the community-at-large, while raising funds for key programs.

Marengo PTA President Adrienne Shanley was over the moon saying, “we were so grateful to see our Marengo community come out in full force to support our school.  Everyone had such a great time!” She went on to say, “the auction was big hit and the money raised will be used to help fund key programs including but not limited to Technology Support, Early Intervention Reading Support and Cultural Arts Events.”

Marengo parent Alyssa Carrera Messina said, “as someone who was just lucky enough to move to this neighborhood, the Marengo Parent Party was the perfect way to be introduced to this amazing community. The food, music and setting were absolute perfection and the company..even better!”

The Marengo PTA would like to thank their Major Sponsors-

Michelle Downing of Partners Trust, Susan Masterman Architects and Crown Development as well as all of the local businesses that donated financially to our party or with items toward our auction.  And a very special thanks to the Hunter Family, who generously donated their property for the party and all the hard working volunteers who made the evening possible.
