Families are invited to a day of springtime celebration at the Autry Museum’s Family Fun Day: Here Comes Peter Cottontail! happening Saturday, April 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is free with museum admission and offers a festive lineup of bunny-themed crafts, a museum scavenger hunt, and a live animal encounter.
Activities for All Ages
From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., children can get creative with bunny-themed arts and crafts and explore the museum with an engaging in-gallery scavenger hunt. At 11:00 a.m., the fun continues outdoors in the Autry’s Ethnobotanical Garden, where guests can enjoy a special “bunny meet-and-greet” with real rabbits provided by Critter Squad Wildlife Defenders until 12:30 p.m.
Inspired by a Classic Tune
This year’s theme takes inspiration from Gene Autry’s beloved 1950 holiday hit, “Here Comes Peter Cottontail,” adding a musical nod to the festive atmosphere. Families can follow the “bunny trail” to the Autry’s Family Play Space for hands-on experiences designed to delight young visitors and their grown-ups.
