The South Pasadena High School Alumni Association invites all SPHS grads to celebrate at its annual All-Class Alumni Reunion Picnic on Saturday, June 7 at Garfield Park. This exciting gathering will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and whether you’re a local alum or coming from far and wide, it’s a day you won’t want to miss!
“We are thrilled to keep this amazing tradition alive after more than 40 years,” said Alumni Association President, Mike Thurman. “It’s incredible to see alumni from nearly every decade come together for a day of fun and connection. We can’t wait to reunite with SPHS grads spanning nine decades!”
What’s on the Menu?
At noon, alumni volunteers will serve a classic picnic feast, serving up hot dogs, refreshing soft drinks, bottled water, crispy chips, and the always-popular chocolate chip cookies. And the best part? It’s all free– no admission charge to enjoy the food, fun, and fantastic company.

The picnic isn’t just about reconnecting with old friends. It’s also an opportunity to support the future of SPHS students. The Alumni Association raises funds to award scholarships each year to help graduating seniors pursue their dreams of higher education. Last year, they awarded more than $63,000 in scholarships, and they plan to keep making a difference!
