The South Pasadena Public Library will host a Repair Café on Saturday, April 19, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030. This free community event invites residents to bring their broken household items for repair by skilled volunteers, promoting sustainability and waste reduction.
What is a Repair Café?
A Repair Café is a community-driven initiative where expert volunteers help fix household items, extending their lifespan and reducing waste. Attendees can bring small appliances, worn clothes, or even plants in need of care.
Services Available
The Repair Café will offer the following repair services, free of charge and on a first-come, first-served basis:
- Bike Tune-up and Diagnosis
- Small Appliance Repair
- Jewelry Repair
- Clothes Mending
- Plant Diagnosis
Important Notes:
- All fixers and menders are volunteers; service availability and successful repairs are not guaranteed.
- Attendees must bring their own replacement parts if needed.
- If you don’t have an item for repair, join us for indigo dyeing with the South Pasadena Community Garden. Bring clean towels, shirts, or totes to dye.
