Movies, commercials and student films are regularly filmed in South Pasadena because of its “anywhere in the U.S.A.,” according to the city’s Film Liaison Joan Aguado

Below are some of the recent productions filmed in South Pasadena:

  • 1/24, 27-31 – A TV pilot, “Rita” was shot in the 1100 block of Meridian and at the Intersection of Prospect Circle & Meridian.
  • 1/25 & 1/26 – A short film “Bound” was shot in the 1100 block of Columbia.
  • 1/28 – A documentary for “Tupac” was shot in the1500 block of Fair Oaks.
  • 1/29 – A commercial for “Carfax” was shot in the 1100 block of Foothill.
  • 1/29 – A commercial for “Cox Cable” was shot in the 700 block of Sterling Place.
  • 1/30 – A commercial for “JC Penney” was shot in the Marengo Avenue at Mission Street.
  • 1/31 & 2/3-4 – A TV pilot “Rita” was shot in the 1100 block of Meridian Avenue.
  • 1/31 & 2/3 – A TV show, “Animal Kingdom,” in 1300 block of Via Del Rey.
  • 2/4 – A Commercial for “Ford” was shot in the 1900 block of Milan Avenue
  • 2/4 – A music video, “Cut it Out,” was shot in the 200 block of Los Laureles.

Hundreds of movies, TV commercials and student films are shot in South Pasadena throughout the year.
