“It feels good being bad,” is not necessarily a sentence any adult wants to hear from
a 10 year old. However, for Christopher Kerrigen, Director of this year’s 5th Grade musical, it comes with the territory in helping students bring beloved Disney characters to life in “Descedants: The Musical.”
This one-act musical bursting with comedy, and adventure, is a hilarious clash of cultures where the scions of Disney villains and their iconic hero counterparts have to learn to get along with each other at school.
In art imitating life just like Descendants, SPEF’s 5th Grade Musical, places students from our different elementary schools and they must learn to work together as a cast, creating new friendships and bonds prior to matricatulating at the SPMS in the Fall.
Fifth-graders from all three elementary schools have been pouring their hearts into rehearsals since October and eager to showcase characters they have brought to life like Maleficent’s daughter, Mal, and the son of Beast and Belle, Ben.

7:30pm (Red Cast), Sunday, February 4th 2:00pm (Red Cast) at the SPHS Auditorium.
