Work crews were busy clearing a huge eucalyptus tree limb away from the roadway Monday morning after it had fallen around 3 a.m. in front of the Golden Oaks Apartments in South Pasadena.
A loud crash was heard during the early morning hours after the tree limb fell onto the sidewalk and street at 1000 El Centro Street, near where the city hosts its weekly farmers’ market on Thursday afternoons.
Workers at the scene said the limb had rotted, likely causing it to fall. Yellow caution tape was placed around the area where crews cut up the limb and loose debris.
