Remember last spring when the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena gave out those wonderful scholarships to deserving South Pasadena High School seniors? Well, the time has come for their much anticipated, annual fashion show fundraiser where all proceeds benefit the Club’s annual scholarships. Plans are well underway and a delightful evening awaits South Pasadenans.
Event Chair, Jo Ann Snyder and fellow Club member, Marina Akseralyan are busy planning the Fashion Show to be held Saturday, September 23rd at the Clubhouse, 1424 Fremont Ave. Snyder tells us this year’s fashion show is presented by Chico’s of La Canada and guests will be served a delicious luncheon with wine and the ever popular array of raffle and door prizes.
The show will feature fashions for the workplace, casual attire as well as evening fashions. Guests will also have the opportunity to shop for a variety of accessories, including handbags and clutches, vintage and new hats, jewelry, under garment attire and Chico’s fashions.
Social hour is at 11am featuring live music by Ed Simpson on keyboards, followed by the luncheon and fashion show. The afternoon concludes with raffle prizes donated by local merchants and club members.
This event is always a lot of fun and of course raises funds for scholarships to send our bright, young seniors out into the world. Don’t miss out! The cost is $35 per person and reservations may be made by calling Lynn Cathcart at 323-255-5739. For more information on the fashion show and luncheon, call Chair JoAnn Snyder at 323-227-1994.
