Santa Fe Crafts special event sale 'Piles of Pawn' showcasing guest purveyors and collector of Native American Indian works to behold

One of South Pasadena’s most beloved specialty shopping events returns next month as ‘Piles of Pawn’ comes back to Santa Fe Crafts for a two-day sale on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Known by longtime customers as part treasure hunt, part collector’s showcase, Piles of Pawn has built a loyal following over the years for its extraordinary selection of vintage Southwestern and Native American jewelry, featuring turquoise, silver, coral, handcrafted pieces, and one-of-a-kind finds that rarely stay on the tables for long.

This year’s event will again feature special guest purveyors, bringing additional unique inventory and hard-to-find pieces for shoppers, collectors, and first-time visitors alike.

Just as important, the event offers a chance to explore the full Santa Fe Crafts gallery itself — a Mission Street landmark known for its rich collection of Native American art, jewelry, pottery, textiles, baskets, and gifts from across the Southwest.

Owned and operated by John Selmer and Barbara Goldeen, Santa Fe Crafts has served South Pasadena for decades and remains one of the city’s most distinctive independent retail destinations. Their long-standing reputation for authenticity, knowledge, and personal service has made the gallery a regional draw for generations of shoppers.

For many attendees, Piles of Pawn has become an annual tradition — arriving early, searching the tables, comparing stones and silverwork, and discovering pieces with history, craftsmanship, and character.

Whether you are a serious collector, looking for a memorable gift, or simply curious to experience one of South Pasadena’s most unique local businesses, Piles of Pawn promises two days of standout shopping and discovery.
