The thump of a base drum resonates in the air while walking down Mission St today. Already at the start of the 10th Annual Eclectic Music Festival, passersby could hear music playing and smell barbecuesizzling on the grill.
“This is amazing!” exclaimed Megan Dostal, the President of South Pasadena Education Foundation.
Local vendors and organizations such as Mama’s Brick Oven Pizza and the D.U.D.E.S. of South Pasadena have set up booths and contributed to the day’s festivities. This truly communal event that, according to its website, was produced by the Chamber of Commerce and supported by the City of South Pasadena and its many volunteers and contributors is set to run from 3 p.m. to roughly 10 p.m. later tonight.
