Earthquake Program to ‘Rock’ Woman’s Club | Luncheon Oct 2

California is earthquake country and many residents are concerned about preparation, which is essential to do before the next quake hits. Yet many people are unsure about what steps to take.

The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena will feature an informative program to address the concerns of local residents, at its luncheon meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd. at their clubhouse, 1424 Fremont Avenue. The public is invited to attend this timely meeting,

The program, ” Earthquakes,” will cover numerous safety issues. It will be presented by Emily Montanez, Senior Program Manager with the L.A. Department of Emergency Management.

Montanez, who holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Long Beach, will offer practical advice on short and long-term preparation, as well as on what to do to stay safe during the shaking and rocking at the onset of an earthquake.

The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Earthquake program starts at 11:00 a.m. with a delicious lunch served afterward. Cost of the luncheon meeting and program is $15.
