Due to ongoing demonstrations in and around Downtown Los Angeles, the L.A. County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) has temporarily closed its Downtown L.A. office to prioritize the safety of staff and the public. The closure will remain in effect until further notice.
Despite this temporary disruption, DCBA continues to provide essential services through online platforms, phone support, and in-person assistance at several satellite office locations across the county.
Open DCBA Branch Office Locations
Community members in need of in-person assistance can visit the following branch offices:
- East Los Angeles County Hall
4801 East Third Street, Los Angeles, CA 90022 - South Whittier Community Resource Center
10750 Laurel Avenue, Whittier, CA 90605 - Altadena Community Center
730 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA 91001

These locations are fully operational and staffed to help residents with consumer protection, small business support, rent stabilization inquiries, and other services.
Continued Commitment to Public Service
DCBA encourages residents to use online services or contact the agency by phone at (800) 593-8222 for assistance. Officials expressed appreciation for the public’s patience and understanding as the department adjusts operations to ensure safety.
“We remain committed to serving the community and thank everyone for working with us during this time,” a DCBA spokesperson said.
