Burglary-Mail Theft Suspects in Custody

The South Pasadena Police Department will be working with the U.S. Postal Inspectors in furtherance of this investigation

SPPD MEDIA RELEASE:

Early Friday morning, October 9, two females were arrested in the 1100 block of Pine Street for stealing mail and being in possession of illegal narcotics. Guillermina Ochoa of Upland and Cleotilde Murillo of Temple City were located by SPPD Officers with stolen property belonging to residents living in the apartment buildings located along Huntington Drive and Pine Street.

A witness positively identified Ochoa and Murillo as the suspects that were seen breaking into the mailboxes located on Pine Street. During the investigation, a backpack determined to belong to the suspects and containing additional stolen mail, was discovered under some nearby bushes.
