Pasadena Playhouse will present a newly adapted production of Lerner & Loewe’s Brigadoon from Wednesday, May 13, through Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 39 South El Molino Avenue.
The production features a new adaptation by Alexandra Silber and is directed and choreographed by Katie Spelman. This classic musical follows two travelers who stumble upon a mysterious Scottish village that appears only once every century.
A Star-Studded Ensemble
The Playhouse has assembled a powerhouse cast of stage and screen veterans to lead this romantic revival. Key cast members include:
- Tyne Daly: Tony and Emmy Award winner starring as Widow Lundie.
- Max von Essen: Tony Award nominee leading as Tommy Albright.
- Betsy Morgan: Broadway veteran appearing as Fiona MacLaren.
- Happy Anderson: Known for Netflix’s Mindhunter, playing Jeff Douglas.
- Daniel Yearwood: Hamilton star appearing as Charlie Dalrymple.
The supporting cast features a deep bench of Broadway and regional talent, including Donna Vivino, Spencer Milford, and Geoffrey Wade.
A Fresh Take on a Classic
This version of the 1947 classic includes original dances created by Agnes DeMille and a live orchestra. Audiences can expect to hear beloved Broadway standards like “Almost Like Being In Love” and “The Heather on the Hill.”
“This production brings a heart-stirring journey to our stage,” noted Danny Feldman, Producing Artistic Director. “With this incredible cast and a newly adapted book, the legend of Brigadoon feels more timely than ever.”
