Traffic came to a crawl Thursday evening as officers directed drivers through the debris of a two-car accident at the intersection of Monterey Rd. and Orange Grove Ave.
According to South Pasadena Police Department’s Officer Randy Wise, one vehicle collided with another while trying to execute a left turn at the intersection.
The front ends of the two sedans involved were heavily damaged; one on the sidewalk and the other still in the middle of the intersection.
Wise stated that the drivers involved in the accident were in stable condition, “with a couple of them complaining about some minor pain.”
The intersection was not closed off post accident, with traffic being funneled from four to two lanes.
