Young Stars Theatre Academy (YSTA) is excited to announce that auditions are now open for its fall production of Something Rotten Jr., inviting young performers to take the stage in one of Broadway’s funniest and most energetic musicals.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 25, with two audition sessions available:
● 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
● 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Something Rotten Jr. is a laugh-out-loud musical comedy that imagines what happens when two struggling playwright brothers attempt to outshine the biggest theatrical superstar of the Renaissance, William Shakespeare. Packed with unforgettable songs, larger-than-life characters, and nonstop comedy, the show offers outstanding opportunities for performers of all experience levels to sing, dance, act, and shine on stage.
Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays from August 15 through September 19, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with an additional rehearsal on Sunday, September 20, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Mandatory technical rehearsals will take place September 26 through October 1, leading into opening weekend.
Performances will run October 2 through October 18, with shows presented Fridays through Sundays.
Young performers of all experience levels are encouraged to audition. Whether stepping onto the stage for the very first time or returning for another production, Something Rotten Jr. promises an unforgettable theatrical experience filled with laughter, creativity, and new friendships.
