A newly-opened special boutique in South Pasadena carries a complete line of products that, among other things, will bring new hope to women who fear the effects of child-bearing and child rearing on their physical well-being.
This is what Amma Boutique aims to be: a one-stop shop for all moms, catering directly to the pregnant and postpartum women’s market.
Amma Boutique just opened in March, but the founder, Jill Bigelow, mother of three, is behind the successful company, PELV-ICE, which developed Mama Strut brand support braces, and is intent on helping other women get access to exceptional, medically sound, scientifically proven, and well-loved products that will ensure they seamlessly transition into motherhood, which is what everyone would want.
Located at 1118 Mission Street, Amma Boutique carries a curated collection of essential maternity products, such as breast pumps and Mama Strut pelvic supports, as well as, maternity clothing, organic skin care, nursing bras, and lactation support products.
All of these can be purchased online, but actually visiting the shop opens up the way to more essential care and friendly advice for expectant mothers.
“We have a very robust online business, but we know that Amma boutique will become a hub for women from all over SoCal to shop for all their maternity and postpartum needs,” Cherine Cope, Amma Boutique’s general manager, said.
Aside from mom supplies, the shop will also provide additional services such as nursing bra fittings, maternity registry, private sales appointments, baby carrier and wrap training, and Mama Strut device training.
“Amma aspires to help women have the information and products that will let them have their best pregnancy and postpartum,” Cope continued.
Just looking at the online store, you’ll see various categories of mom products such as apparel, Mama Strut braces and accessories, compression devices, nursing and pumping support products, baby carriers and wraps, diaper bags, skincare, fashion accessories and even homeware, which means candles, water bottles, blankets, and, yes, books.
