South Pasadena Fire Department officials responded to a oven fire Wednesday just after 7 p.m. at an apartment in the 300 block of Mockingbird Lane in the city.
Residents were able to put out the small blaze using a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived at the scene.
Fire departments joining South Pasadena personnel were members of the San Marino, Pasadena and Alhambra Fire Departments.
