BIG BROWN BAT: The Big Brown Bat, one of North America's biggest, hunts beetles and moths over our streetlights every night and roosts in attics, eaves and wall gaps right here in South Pasadena. Rabid Big Brown Bats have turned up in Glendale and Glendora, and Pasadena logged its first rabies-positive bat of 2025 on South San Rafael, just across the Arroyo. See one on the ground in daylight? Don't touch it. Call animal control.
