Chris Holden’s Annual Block Party and Resource Fair returns this Saturday. The nearly 30-year community tradition takes on special significance this year as it brings together residents from Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire, providing both celebration and crucial resources for recovery. The event is free and open to the public.
Pasadena’s own Jon B will bring a major hometown moment to the Block Party with a special live performance at 5:00 PM. The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated R&B artist is known for timeless hits including “Someone to Love,” “They Don’t Know,” and “Are U Still Down” (Feat. Tupac Shakur), making his appearance one of the day’s biggest highlights.
“This Block Party has always been about neighbors taking care of neighbors, but this year it means even more,” said Chris Holden, CEO of LA Fire Justice. “After everything our community has been through with the Eaton Fire, this event is our chance to come together, celebrate our resilience, and connect people with the resources they need to rebuild.”
