At approximately 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the City of South Pasadena Fire Department, with assistance from Pasadena, Alhambra, and San Marino Fire Departments, responded to a report of smoke coming from a property at the 1100 block of Glendon Way in the City of South Pasadena.
Units on scene encountered a fire in a back studio on the reported property, which then spread to two additional structures on Meridian Avenue. Crews isolated the fire to prevent it from extending further, and the fire was extinguished at approximately 3:20 p.m. Two of the structures sustained major damage, and one structure sustained minor damage.
The fire also damaged several power lines, which caused a localized power outage, and a main internet fiber line, which caused an internet outage affecting several thousand residences in South Pasadena and San Marino.
No injuries were reported.
