South Pasadena heads into the middle of the week with mild temperatures and increasing winds, followed by a stretch of warmer, sunny weather into the weekend. Forecasters note a developing offshore wind pattern, which may bring gusty conditions at times, particularly near foothill areas.

Wednesday, March 4: Mostly sunny with highs near the low 70s. Winds increase later in the day and into the evening as a weather system passes through Southern California.

Thursday, March 5: Sunny and warmer, with afternoon temperatures climbing toward the upper 70s. Breezy conditions may linger, especially in the morning.

Friday, March 6: Clear skies continue with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s. Offshore flow may bring occasional gusty winds, particularly closer to canyon and foothill zones.

Saturday, March 7: The warmest day of the stretch with abundant sunshine and highs near 80 degrees across the San Gabriel Valley.

Sunday, March 8 (early outlook): The warm, dry pattern may continue, with temperatures possibly reaching the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies.

Overall, residents can expect dry conditions, warming temperatures, and occasional gusty winds, with the strongest winds generally confined to foothill and canyon areas.

SoCal Areas

The greater SoCal and LA area will see a shift in weather through the rest of the week, beginning with breezy conditions Wednesday before transitioning into a Santa Ana wind pattern and warmer temperatures by the weekend, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service.

Wednesday, March 4

Expect a mostly sunny day with mild temperatures around the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Winds will gradually increase during the afternoon and evening as a weather system passes through Southern California. Gusty north to northwest winds may develop later in the day and overnight, particularly closer to foothill areas.

Thursday, March 5

Conditions turn clearer and slightly cooler in the morning, with highs generally in the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds may remain breezy at times, especially early in the day as the midweek system exits the region.

Friday, March 6

A Santa Ana wind pattern begins developing, bringing dry northeast winds and warmer afternoon temperatures. Highs should reach the mid-70s, and skies will remain mostly clear. Offshore winds may become gusty in foothill and canyon areas.

Saturday, March 7

The warmest day of the period is expected Saturday as Santa Ana winds strengthen across parts of Southern California. Afternoon temperatures in the Pasadena and South Pasadena area could reach the upper 70s, with continued dry conditions and occasional gusty winds.

Looking Ahead to Sunday

Early indications show the warm and dry pattern continuing into Sunday, with temperatures potentially climbing into the upper 70s or even near 80 degrees under sunny skies.

What to Watch

Meteorologists note that a Santa Ana wind event may strengthen late Friday into Saturday, bringing gusts of 35–50 mph in typical wind-prone corridors, though winds are usually lighter across the central San Gabriel Valley itself.
