Daisy Troop 4266 from Holy Family is spreading holiday cheer in a big way. The troop of 13 first-grade girls designed and delivered festive floral centerpieces to the South Pasadena Senior Center on Monday, November 25, just in time for Thanksgiving celebrations.

Using artificial flowers so their creations could last for weeks, the girls crafted their arrangements during their November troop meeting before hand-delivering them to local seniors. Their project earned them the Girl Scout “Considerate and Caring” petal — bringing them one step closer to completing their Daisy flower.
Troop leaders shared that the girls were excited not only to show their creativity but to connect with seniors in the community. The visit was a highlight for both the troop and the Senior Center, with the girls proudly sharing their work and spending time with residents.

“The girls were thrilled to give back to their community and loved visiting with the wonderful seniors of South Pasadena”, said Kelly Kepner.
Troop 4266 plans to continue engaging in community-centered service projects throughout the year.
