The American Red Cross will hold a community blood drive at the South Pasadena Public Library on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to take part in this life-saving effort by scheduling an appointment in advance at RedCrossBlood.org using the sponsor code SOPASLIB. Walk-ins may be accepted, but appointments are strongly recommended to ensure availability.
To make the donation process faster, participants can complete their pre-donation reading and health history online through RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass. This step can save up to 15 minutes on the day of the drive.
Blood donations play a vital role in supporting patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergency care. With summer often bringing a decline in donations, organizers stress the importance of community participation.
