The City of South Pasadena, in collaboration with Athens Services, has launched a new Bulky Item Pick-Up Program aimed at offering residents a more convenient and sustainable way to dispose of large household items.
Program Replaces Previous Dumpster Days
Effective immediately, all South Pasadena residential customers, including senior citizens, are eligible for one free curbside bulky item collection per quarter. Each scheduled pickup allows for the disposal of up to five bulky items—such as mattresses, furniture, and appliances—at no additional cost.
This new initiative replaces the former Dumpster Day and Senior Citizen Dumpster Week programs, streamlining the disposal process and eliminating the need for residents to transport items to specific drop-off sites. The effort supports the City’s commitment to cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
