After nearly a year of memorable performances, the Wednesday Wine & Song series will host its final show at The Daily in South Pasadena on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The event marks the end of a chapter for the intimate live music series, which has built a loyal community of artists and fans in the heart of the city.
Headlining the farewell show is Rob Laufer, a seasoned singer-songwriter known for his work across film, television, and the commercial music world. With five solo albums to his name, Laufer has collaborated with music legends including Frank Black, Fiona Apple, Johnny Cash, and George Martin. He is also the longtime music director for Wild Honey, a nonprofit organization producing benefit concerts for autism research. Laufer was recently featured as a member of the iconic “Wrecking Crew” in the Brian Wilson biopic Love and Mercy.
Joining him is Christina Apostolopoulos, a Greek-Canadian singer-songwriter celebrated for her soulful vocals and slide guitar mastery. Apostolopoulos blends folk, rock, and jazz in her music, inspired by artists like Paul Simon and Jackson Browne. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, she brings a unique, heartfelt sound shaped by her roots in Toronto and Santa Barbara.
Also taking the stage is special guest John Schmitt, who will treat audiences to a few songs during the evening.
This final show is also a chance to bid farewell to the beloved team at The Daily—including Justin, Barbara, Dale, and bartender Mark, who recently got married. Their support has helped make the venue a home for the Wine & Song community.
